ASRI Fellows Dr Helen Ingoe and Dr Mohammad Jomaa had an amazing trip to the University of Queensland! They explored the fascinating labs related to tissue engineering, guided by Dr. Eleanor Ball, Professor Justin Cooper-White, and Professor Elizabeth Grondall. They witnessed cutting-edge microscopy and tissue design processes, and even got a glimpse of 3D printing presentations creating innovative scaffolds for rotator cuffs Dr. Mohammad Jomaa presented on "Does Forearm Referencing Using Retroversion Guide Achieve The Targeted Retroversion of The Humeral Component in Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty?" This stimulated discussion with engineers from both UQ and QUT on how to improve the design of the guides to increase the both accuracy and precision of humeral retroversion measurement. The fellows thank the engineers and researchers from both QUT and University of Queensland for making this visit unforgettable!
