In March 2022, the SESA Conference took centre stage in Sydney, drawing together past and present fellows for a heart-warming mini reunion. This extraordinary event was a celebration of cutting-edge research projects, showcasing the ingenuity and collaborative spirit of the ASRI family and QUASR community. Among the standout presentations, Kathir Stalin captivated the audience with his enlightening paper on the outcome of anterior deltoid muscle reflection during RSA, while Ridzwan Namazie left a lasting impression with the outcomes of Capsular Reconstruction and Cuff Repair (CRACR) for massive and recurrent rotator cuff tears. Kristine Italia's poster presentation on the outcomes for arthroscopic frozen shoulder 360 release also added to the conference's diverse range of insights. The current fellows proved their mettle as well, making the ASRI family proud through their works on the Australian Registry. Freek Hollman's work on the use of CT prior to TSA and Mohammad Jomaa's study on the outcomes of TSA and hemiarthroplasty in patients under 55 were truly remarkable. As the event came to a close, it was evident that SESA had not only fostered brilliant minds but had also nurtured a growing family, bound by shared experiences and an unwavering commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge.
